Alexander C. Nnabue, O.D., P.A.
Dr. Alexander Nnabue started his practice in 1995 with one location. Over time the practice has grown into three thriving state-of-the art eye care locations servicing Prince George’s County Maryland.
Dr. Nnabue graduated from Imo State University in 1988 and from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1994. Dr. Nnabue’s special interests are working with children, sports vision, primary eye care and contact lenses. Dr. Nnabue is also an adjunct faculty member at Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he teaches advanced clinical procedures to other eye doctors across the world. So far, he has taught in Israel, Nigeria, and Norway. Dr. Nnabue is also a Senior Examiner with the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Maryland Optometric Association, and National Association of Sports Vision, Contact Lenses and Low Vision.
Chonda E. Warfield, O.D.
Dr. Chonda Warfield received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia, and Doctorate degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her fourth year clinical rotations included primary care, ocular disease, pediatrics and low vision rehabilitation. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Contact Lens and Cornea Section and the Maryland Optometric Association. Her areas of interest include developmental and pediatric vision, contact lenses and full scope optometric care.
Walter R. Foster, O.D.
Dr. Foster is a native Washingtonian, born at Walter Reed General Hospital in 1948.He attended Elementary in Anacostia before moving to Prince Georges County. He graduated from Gwynn Park Junior – Senior High School in 1966, Where he was captain of the basketball team his senior year. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1970. While at the UMCP, he served on the joint student-faculty committee studying the conversion of Maryland State College to the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore. The Doctor of Optometry degree was awarded in 1980 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry –PCO- in Philadelphia.
While at PCO he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa academic honors fraternity as well as a recipient of the Clinical Excellence award for his patient care at The Eye Institute of PCO. He currently resides in Howard county where he does occasional volunteer work at the Arabesque dance studio (and takes a few beginning tap lessons).
